Kent Building · London City Island · redesign, October 2026

One flat,
three ways to live in it.

Every room of Flat 710 redesigned three times over — warm walnut, Japandi light and dark boutique — on top of the real, measured flat. Same walls, same windows, same floor; new everything you live with.

The flat as it is

Measured, then redesigned.

Every option is drawn on top of a tape-measured model of the flat, so nothing proposed here needs a wall moved. The plan below is today's layout; the 3D model lets you walk it.

Stays the same in every direction

    Three directions, every room

New ideas · each with a new floor

Four more, from the floor up.

Explorations that start with replacing the floor everywhere — herringbone, microcement, chevron, wide limed oak — to see what the flat becomes. Same rooms, same walls; budgets include the new floor.

    Side by side

    Same room, four versions.

    The floor

Clean it, refinish it, or replace it.

    Keeping it looking new

Whatever you choose, these stop it wearing out again.

      Money and order of works

What it costs, in what order.

Totals cover furniture, joinery, trades and finishes. Not included, because they are the same in every design: the TV and the new appliances (below). About 10–14 weeks from deciding to finished — mostly waiting for deliveries — with 3–4 weeks of actual trades on site. October 2026 estimates, ±30%; quotes firm them up.

Where you live during the works

Mostly at home. It's a one-bed, so you live in one zone while the other is worked on.
